تحصیل حلیم زئی، مہمند ایجنسی—پاکستانی چیف آف آرمی سٹاف جنرل قمر جاوید باجوہ نے 27 ستمبر کومہمند ایجنسی میں نہاکّی سرنگ اور غالنئی-مہمند گت روڈ کا افتتاح کیا۔
فرنٹیئر ورکس آرگنائزیشن (ایف ڈبلیو او) کے مطابق، 751 میٹر طویل نہاکّی سرنگ پر 2.4 بلین روپے (23 ملین ڈالر) لاگت آئی۔

انٹر سروسز پبلک ریلیشنز (آئی ایس پی آر) کے مطابق، ایف ڈبلیو او نے 41 کلومیٹر غالنی-مہمند گت روڈ منصوبہ کا 14 کلومیٹر کا پہلا مرحلہ مکمل کر لیا ہے جبکہ باقی حصّہ پر کام جاری ہے۔

س منصوبہ کا مقصد مقامی سفر کی تسہیل اور درّۂ ناوا کے ذریعے افغانستان سے تجارت ممکن بنانا ہے۔
باجوہ نے دہشتگردوں سے نجات حاصل کرنے میں پاک فوج کی بھرپورحمایت کرنے پر مقامی قبائل کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دیرپا امن و استحکام کے حصول کے لیے ترقیاتی منصوبے ناگزیر ہیں۔
3 اکتوبر کو مہمند ایجنسی سے رکنِ قومی اسمبلی ملک بلال رحمٰن نے پاکستان فارورڈ سے بات کرتے ہوئے کہا، ”اس سرنگ کی وجہ سے 35 منٹ کی مسافت کم ہو کر 4 منٹ رہ گئی ہے۔“
انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ سرنگ نہ صرف مہمند اور باجوڑ ایجنسیوں کے باشندوں بلکہ علاقہ کی سنگِ مرمر کی صنعت کو بھی فائدہ پہنچائے گی۔
سیفی تحصیل، مہمند ایجنسی کے ایک رہائشی ملک اسرائیل نے پاکستان فارورڈ سے بات کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ سرنگ ”علاقہ کی ترقی میں ایک مؤثر کردار ادا کرے گی
