Rawalpindi-Fata students Forum Pakistan (FSFP ) Change its name to Tribal Youth Forum Pakistan (TYFP), in a meeting at the central office in Rawalpindi, forum heads from all twins cites universities take participation in the meeting which headed by Chairman Rehan Zeb Khan.  Just eight days in the completion of its term, the 14th National Assembly of Pakistan made history on Thursday by passing the 31st Constitutional Amendment Bill of 2018 paving the way for the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. As many as 229 members voted in the favour of the bill, presented in the House by Law Minister Chaudhary Mahmood Bashir Virk. There were 11 votes cast against the bill that was approved clause by clause. On Friday (today), the bill will be tabled in the upper House of the Parliament. With the amendment to the constitution, FATA will get 16 general and five reserved seats – four for women and one for non-Muslims – in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The election on these seats will be held within a year of the upcoming general elections. Thousands of protesters in the tribal belt along the Afghan border have ended a days-long protest against a string of recent assassinations, organizers said on Friday. Demonstrators and an AFP reporter in the area said more than 3,000 tribesmen launched the sit-in protest on Sunday in North Waziristan's Mir Ali after three tribal elders were shot dead in the last week by unidentified gunmen in separate incidents. Following the killings, the protest had also spread to South Waziristan. “The protest ended on Thursday after authorities assured us of more security measures in the area,” Noor Islam, president of the “Youth of Waziristan” that organised the rally, told AFP. Islam said at least eight tribesmen have been killed in total in a series of murders this month, enraging locals who say authorities have not done enough to ensure their security.
