Let's agree to disagree

Imran Khan is the only genuine leader and the last hope for the people of this nation as we are approaching towards the general elections, I understand and admit that he is not perfect by any mean and neither can be a politician remained perfect in modern democratic societies, there will always be people who will disagree with your way of thinking and your way of doing things and that is totally fine in a democratic society where people are free to say whatever they want to say.

I do not want anyone to agree with my opinion, because my opinion is not a fact, in fact, the difference of opinion is the beauty of free and democratic societies. If you want to do something admirable in life, people will criticize you to an extent where you will start doubting yourself. But this is where you need not to give up and stay strong.

Coming back to the point, In Pakistan, it is easy to gather huge crowds of people before elections but unfortunately, that is not a sign of political dominance as elections results are totally different most of the times. The seasonal politicians know the art of bringing people on the elections day; the ways are totally different and somewhat undemocratic.

I believe we the youth have to play a significant role in the coming elections, a role that will determine the future of Pakistan. You can disagree with Khan's personal life, although we don’t have any right to interfere in his personal life, or in any one’s life for that matter. You can disagree with some of his policies, as I already mention he is not perfect by any mean. But you simply can’t doubt his abilities as a leader, his vision and his sincerity and honesty for this nation and its people.
I doubt If we youth will not play our role in the coming elections, we are heading towards a coalition government, which will be a weak government comparatively, and thus can be easily controlled by undemocratic forces.
Those politicians, who point out the contribution of secret forces in Imran Khan political journey, know very well their past. We have tried everyone, let give him a chance, instead of giving chances to those who haven’t build a single well-reputed institution in the entire history of civilian supremacy in this country.

There excuses start and end at stumbling blocks of the establishment. Were they not allowed in rural Sindh by the establishment to build hospitals or to even provide clean water to the people? Were they not allowed by stumbling stones to build better schools in Punjab?

I am a big supporter of democracy, but it is those politicians who speak low of establishment immediately become the part of dictator cabinet, it is our politicians who have provided the military with a chance to intervene in the democratic processes in the last 70 years, although it does not justify them to do so. If they would have delivered on real and ground bases these people would have laid themselves under tanks just like people did in turkey during military intervention. But they have lost their moral compass.
Talking about Pakistan Tahafuz Movement, I do not support any foreign agenda, or do not want Afghanistan to intervene in our internal affairs, and I do condemn the act although that was done by random people, not allowing Pakistani flag in their gathering, I understand and admit the sacrifices of Pakistan armed forces from the last 15 years, without them we are nothing. But let step into the shoes of our people from FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Balochistan and feel how they feel, it is comparatively very easy sitting in an air-conditioned room somewhere in Islamabad and criticizing people who are protesting for their constitutional rights; we need to understand and admit that these people have faced great problems for the sovereignty of Pakistan. Their homes were destroyed; they were forced to migrate from their homeland and even they were not allowed to enter in some parts of their own country. They were labeled as terrorists, which was, in fact, the outcome of our own past strategies, their loved ones were killed in dark nights without any judicial proceedings and still there are people who loved ones are missing from many years, and all that they demand is fair judicial proceedings, I admit there are people who have been involved in major terrorist activities, let hang them publically but release those who are one way or the other way innocents.

If people from FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Balochistan are on roads, then it means there is something wrong some here, you simply can’t run away from the facts by declaring them anti-Pakistan elements as we should learn from our very near past, let’s build the foundations of Pakistan on justice for which Quaid has struggled throughout his life, let's Build a new Pakistan where the life of every citizen will be equal and important.
