EU and Norway Envoy want Transparent Probes against Afghan Frist Vice President Dostum Sexual Case.

Afghan Frist Vice President Dostum 

The ambassadors of European Union (EU) and Norway in Kabul said in a joint statement on Monday that the case of the First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum should be concluded through legal channels since he has returned to Afghanistan.


Kabul-The statement said they expect the conclusion of legal proceedings against Dostum who has been accused of sexual assault against Ahmad Eschi, the former governor of Jawzjan province. 

According to the statement, as Dostum has returned home from Turkey, the issues around his case should be cleared up. The EU and Norway said they expect the law to follow its course. 

The statement said no one should be above the law and that it is important that all Afghans work for peace, stability, and democracy in light of the law. 
The statement says “Nobody should be above the law.  It is important that all Afghans continue to work together to promote peace, stability, and democracy throughout the country, based on full respect for the rule of law by all citizens,”

Ecchi revealed an interview with Afghan TV TOLO news in December 2016.

 “I took Gen. Dostum’s hand and greeted him [at the Buzkashi grounds last month]. From that point, he started abusing me verbally. He told me that he knows what I have done. He told me he knows what my son has done. Who will look for you if I kill you here? I will throw you under the horses and do Buzkashi on you. He called on his bodyguards and told them to grab me and beat me. He [Dostum] lay me on the ground and put his foot on my neck, Ecshchi claims he was in Dostum’s custody for five days and then spent 11 days in a National Directorate of Security (NDS) detention center.

Dostum spent 14 months in Turkey only to return to Afghanistan last month.

He was accused of kidnapping and torture in 2016 and of ordering his guards to sexually assault Eshchi.
