More than 2.5 million voters will cast votes in seven districts and six frontier regions of Tribal Belt

Islamabad.-After long-awaited FATA reforms, now finally the stage of real merger reached,, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday notified allocation of provincial assembly seats to former tribal agencies.

According to a notification issued by the ECP, the seats were allocated to each tribal district and former Frontier regions according to 6th Population Census 2017. Bajaur and Khyber tribal districts were allocated three seats each, while, Mohmand, Kurram, North and South Waziristan tribal districts were given two seats each in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Similarly, Orakzai tribal district and Frontier Regions were allocated one seat each in the provincial assembly., 

Seven districts and 6 frontiers Region have the population of 5.5millions have total registered voters 1.5 million, according to election commission of Pakistan, the election will be conducted on 16 provincial assembly PA seats, 

More than 2.5 million voters will cast votes in seven districts and six frontier regions of Fata. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), 1.5 million male registered voters and over 1 million female voters will cast votes for 16 provincial assembly constituencies of tribal areas.

According to the ECP, tribal district Bajaur which has the population of 1.1 million has around 0.5 million out of which 0.56 million male and 0.054 million female voters will elect three members of the provincial assembly from PK-100 Bajaur-I, PK-101 Bajaur-II, and PK-102 Bajaur-III 

The Mohmand district population is 0.47 million and has 0.25 male voters out of which 0.16 million are male and 0.097 million female voters will poll votes for PK-103 Mohmand-I and PK-104 Mohmand-II

The Khyber district has the population of one million, out of which the number of voters is 0.5 million. At least 0.28 million male voters and 0.2 million female voters will exercise their right to vote for three Provincial assembly seats, the PK-105-Khyber-1, PK-106-Khyber-2 PK-107-Khyber-3

Kurram district has the population of 0.62 million and has total 0.34 million voters out of which 0.2 million are male and 0.14 are female voters will poll votes for two Provincial assembly seats, the PK-108-15 and PK-109.

South Waziristan district has a total population of 0.68 million. The count of total voters is 0.3 million out of which 0.2 million are male and 0.13 female voters. Voters from South Waziristan will elect two members of the Provincial assembly from PK-113 South Waziristan-I and PK-114 South Waziristan-II

North Waziristan district’s population is over 0.5 million and has 0.27 million voters out of which 0.2 million are male and 0.077 million are female voters. Voters from South Waziristan will elect two members of the Provincial assembly from PK-111 North Waziristan-I and PK-112 North Waziristan-II

Orakzai district has populations of 0.25 million. The count of voters is 0.17 out of which 94,279 are male and 72,927 female voters will cast votes for one provincial assembly seat, PK-110 Orakzai 



The population of six Frontier Regions (FR) Kohat, FR D.I.Khan, FR Tank, FR Peshawar, FR, Lakki, and FR Bannu is 0.36 million with 0.17 million voters out of which 66,323 are female and 100,287 are male voters who will one member of the provincial from PK-115 Ex-Frontier Regions.
