PPP demands CM Mahmood Khan’s resignation owing to NAB inquiry

DC- Peshawar-In a tit for tat, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Tuesday has demanded the resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan because he is facing a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry due to which he cannot continue as KP CM.
PPP stalwart and former Senate chairman Senator Mian Raza Rabbani has demanded the resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan because he is facing a NAB inquiry.
Rabbani made the demand in response to an earlier demand by the ruling PTI of the resignation of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah because he was named in the joint investigation team (JIT) report in the ongoing fake bank accounts case.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday had demanded resignation of Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah after his name was placed on Exit Control List (ECL).
PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman vowed to upset government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the province at any cost.
PPP has left with no reason to rule in Sindh after the report of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in money laundering case, he added.
Last week, a joint investigation team (JIT) formed to probe the multi-billion fake bank accounts case submitted its report to the Supreme Court in which it named former President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur and several others apart from Shah.
After the JIT report, the federal government had placed all the 172 individuals named in the report, including Shah, on the exit control list (ECL). The PTI had also demanded that Shah resign as his name had appeared in the JIT report.
